Project Details
A metallurgical refining project located in Plovdiv district, Bulgaria – a strategic location combining established industrial infrastructure, access to highly specialized metallurgical expertise and full compliance with European Union regulatory standards. The facility is designed to process 50 tons of beryllium ore per month to produce between 3,000 and 4,000 kg of pure beryllium oxide (99%).
Logistics

Strategic European Infrastructure

Located in an area with a long history of industrial and metallurgical processing at the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals (ICM), the facility is fully integrated into the European transport network. This supports efficient international logistics and direct land and air export channels to global markets.

Industrial Utility Access

The site utilizes existing high-capacity industrial power grids, heavy-duty water supply networks, and specialized industrial waste-management infrastructure required for continuous chemical and pyrometallurgical operations.

Location
Advantages

Securing Operational Synergy

Situated within a recognized metallurgical hub in Bulgaria, the project benefits from established industrial protocols, regional technical support, and proximity to specialized base-metal processing facilities. This supportive industrial fabric translates to reliable operational predictability and low systemic risk.

Access to Specialized Expertise

The regional workforce includes seasoned chemical engineers, metallurgists, and process technicians trained at leading Bulgarian and European technical universities. This proximity to established industrial communities ensures a stable pipeline of qualified operational personnel.

01
Ore Import and Input
Raw material is sourced primarily from operating mining concessions in Rwanda. The imported intake undergoes strict chemical and mineralogical verification against established technical specifications before being accepted into the processing line.
02
Crushing and Milling
The accepted ore undergoes mechanical preparation, where it is crushed and milled to a uniform particle size. This stage maximizes subsequent chemical reaction efficiency and ensures a homogeneous feed for the briquetting line.
03
Briquetting
The milled material is compacted into engineered briquettes designed for downstream pyrometallurgical processing. This intermediate form is critical for maintaining controlled, energy-efficient refining conditions.
04
High-Temperature Refining
Utilizing our proprietary chemical process, the briquettes undergo high-temperature refining to separate impurities and isolate the beryllium content. Process parameters are monitored automatically in real time to guarantee consistent batch quality.
05
Quality Validation
Every production batch is sampled and subjected to rigorous chemical and phase analysis in our laboratory. Independent validation is performed periodically by accredited laboratories and international inspection organizations like Alex Stewart International to ensure all purity claims are externally certified.
06
Distribution and Export
Validated batches of high-purity beryllium oxide and intermediate beryllium hydroxide are packaged according to strict international safety standards. Shipments are dispatched through European logistics hubs and transport corridors directly to industrial buyers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
